The Big Island Pop Warner Football Conference is holding a benefit fundraising concert for the Panaewa Ali‘i midget team to go to the national championships next month.
The team, which was allegedly victimized by embezzlement of more than $100,000 in league travel funds, needs to raise about $120,000 to travel to the Pop Warner Super Bowl, which starts Dec. 7 in Kissimmee, Fla.
The concert is 12-9 p.m. Saturday at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo.
The lineup includes: Darlene Ahuna, Ryan Hiraoka, Sudden Rush, The Steppas, Positive Motion, Mixjah, Irie Love, The Voice, Nephi Brown and Friends, Kawaimalu, The Voice, Desmon Haumea, HIA, and Nathan Grace and Friends.
There will also be a silent auction.
Tickets, both advance and door, are $5 and donations will be accepted, as well. Children ages 5 and under will be admitted free.
