HONOLULU (AP) — A Hawaii nonprofit organization that teaches people with disabilities how to surfs said two of its adaptive surfboards were stolen.
AccesSurf said the boards were taken from a truck in Kaimuki on Saturday. The boards are valued at about $2,000 and are two of the most utilized in the organization’s programs. The boards are marked with the letters ASH.
The organization wants the boards returned, no questions asked.
Program and events coordinator Cara Troy said the organization runs monthly surfing programs for those with disabilities and for wounded veterans.
