Rebecca Peke Abraham Baji, 87, of Hilo died Nov. 17 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hawaii, she was a retired aide for Hawaii Island Adult Center and member of Thy Word Ministries Faith Center of Hawaii. Visitation 9–10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Thy Word Ministries Faith Center of Hawaii. Celebration of life at 10 a.m.. Aloha attire. Renate Eva-Maria Gassmann, 67, of Volcano, formerly of Maui, died Nov. 18 at home. Born in Germany, she was a retired veterinarian and member of numerous environmental and conservation organizations. Clinton Hinano “Pancho” Kahilihiwa, 69, of Hilo died Nov. 15. Born in Kalapana, he was retired from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Shozo “Chabo” Nagao, 86, of Hilo died Nov. 20 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Hilo, he was a retired Hawaii County fire chief, U.S. Army World War II veteran and member of Heritage Christian Fellowship, Hawaii Fire Chiefs Assn., Hawaii County Retired Firemen’s Assn., Pirates Golf Club and Waiakea Pirates Assn. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife, Betty E. Nagao of Hilo; son, Ian T.
