This evening (Thanksgiving day), I went to the E Komo Mai Lounge in Hilo to have a drink before heading home. They were serving Thanksgiving dinner to their customers. It was very good.

During the time I was there, they prepared about 25 take-out boxes with all the trimmings and took them to Wailoa Park and handed them out to the homeless there. I believe a story like this is worthy of letting the public know there are kind-hearted people here in Hilo. Most of the time, we hear only of foul deeds and not what some people do to make a difference.
