On Saturday, Dec. 14, Parker School will host its 11th annual Fairways &Friends Golf Tournament at Hualalai Resort. Proceeds from the event go directly to financial aid at the school. This year, in addition to golf, Hualalai Spa treatments and a trunk show and sale hosted by Hula Moon Boutique will be offered.
Check-in for golf begins 11 a.m. and the tournament starts at 12:30 p.m. with a shotgun start. The Hula Moon Boutique trunk show will take place in the Mauna Kea Room at the Four Seasons Hualalai 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Hualalai Spa services will be available 8 a.m.-7 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from both additional activities will also go toward financial aid at Parker School. After the tournament, there will be an awards reception with heavy pupus and cocktails and prizes.
Parker School is an independent, coeducational, college-preparatory K-12 school in Waimea. Because a large percentage — more than 50 percent — of Parker School students receive financial aid, the school hosts events such as the Fairways &Friends tournament and Kahiau, its annual spring auction gala, to help raise financial aid funds.
“The school is grateful to its title sponsor, Redwater Construction, as well as to Hualalai Resort, the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai and Hula Moon Boutique for helping make this event possible,” said a school spokesman.
The golf fee is $250 and includes the cost of the reception. For nongolfers, the reception fee is $50. Registration forms can be downloaded from the Parker School website, www.parkerschoolhawaii.org, or reservations can be made by emailing advancement@parkerschoolhawaii.org or calling 885-8709. Spa reservations can be made directly through the Hualalai Spa by calling 325-8000 and mentioning you are with the Parker School event.
