An invitational call-back audition could be 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, if necessary.
Those auditioning will be asked to read a speech provided from the script, learn a short movement routine and sing a few bars (a minute or less) of a song from the show or from the traditional Christmas carol “Deck the Halls.”
Tunes from the show include “Tradition,” “Matchmaker,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” “To Life,” “Miracle of Miracles,” “Sunrise, Sunset,” “Do You Love Me?,” “Far From the Home I Love” and “Anatevka.”
All roles are available. Those auditioning will be seen in small groups in order of arrival, and are encouraged to dress comfortably and wear closed shoes.
Rehearsals will begin immediately, with time off for the holidays, and shift into high gear in the new year. As a rule, rehearsals will be conducted Monday through Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Not all cast members will be required at every rehearsal; individual time commitment depends upon the role.
