Kilauea Drama & Entertainment Network is hosting auditions for the musical comedy, “Once Upon A Mattress.”
The show is based on Hans Christian Anderson’s “The Princess and The Pea,” with music by Mary Rodgers, lyrics by Marshall Barer and book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller, and Marshall Barer.
There are roles for 15 people and include Princess Winnifred, originally played on Broadway by Carol Burnett, Prince Dauntless, Queen Aggravain, King Sextimus, Sir Harry, Lady Larken, Jester, Minstrel, Wizard, and Lord Howard.
Suzi Bond will be directing the show, with musical direction by Pedro ka’awaloa. Armando Mendoza will conduct the orchestra.
