Shadow puppet master Sean Powers of California will perform at 2 and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Hawaii Museum of Contemporary Art, formerly known as the East Hawaii Cultural Center, at 141 Kalakaua St. in downtown Hilo.

Known for his Bay Area performances, Powers and his Sean’s Shadows Theater are a hit with folks of all ages. He has performed extensively on the mainland and specializes in folk tales from around the world.

“Sean will bring his art of shadow puppetry to HMOCA, providing magical and mystical performances suited for children and adults of all ages,” said museum spokesman Lourdan Kimbrell. For more information, call 961-5711 or 935-9085.
