She was a mango, banana and avocado farmer and member of Daifukuji Soto Mission, an honorary member of the Kona Rotary Club, University Extension Club and a former 4-H leader. Private services held. Andrew Martin Bachesta Jr., 80, of Pahoa died Tuesday, Dec. 31. Born in Missouri, he was a retired engineer at the Hilo Airport Post Office and a senior chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy. Henry Cho Sr., 80, of Honaunau, Hawaii, died Nov. 28, at his residence. Born in Keei, Hawaii, he was a supervisor for the South Kona State Highway Division, the deputy managing director for the County of Hawaii, past president of the Kona Lions Club and South Kona Aloha Lions Club, Hawaiian Homes commissioner, a sensei at the Kona Judo Club, PTO president, May Day chairman at Honaunau School, member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church and its restoration committee, grand marshall for the Kona Coffee Festival Parade, CEO of H. Cho Enterprises, owner of Cho’s Lei Stand, owner of Kona No Ka Oi Poi Shop, a coffee, plumeria and carnation farmer and a fisherman. Friends may call at 5 p.m. Friday at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Honaunau for a 7 p.m. Mass. All-night vigil will follow at the family’s residence. Dolores Nakako Ida, 89, of Hilo and formerly of Honolulu, died Dec. 20 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home.
