HONOLULU (AP) — The family of a hiker who died after on an Oahu trail has identified him as 28-year-old Mitch Kai of Moanalua Valley.
The family said Kai worked as a firefighter in Kalihi for the Honolulu fire department for more than two years.
Kai died after falling about 50 feet on the Olomana trail on Friday afternoon. Three other people who were hiking with Kai were not injured.
