Interment at noon Monday, Jan. 27, at Hilo Veteran’s Cemetery No. 2, Column Burium section. Survived by wife, Theresa (Farias) Cooper of Maui; son, Matthew (Suzanne) Cooper of Maui; daughter, Sarah Cooper of Bend, Ore.; brother, Chris (Margie) Cooper of Hilo; sisters, Donna (Joe) Caimi and Ann (Stefan) Uyehara, both of Maui; mother-in-law, Frances Farias of Hilo; brothers-in-law, Joseph (Chantal) Farias of Tennessee and Patrick Farias of Hilo; sister-in-law, Carol Farias of Hilo; and one grandson.
Richard “Lefty” “Haole” Mark Totman, 78, died Jan. 19 at his home in Ainaloa. Born in Benton, Maine, he was a retired Honolulu City and County refuse truck driver, former commander of VFW Post 3830 Nanawale, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, and member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Parish and Pahoa Senior Club.
