A Hilo bail bondsman has been charged for allegedly threatening two men Saturday night at a Waikiki hotel.
A Honolulu Police Department spokeswoman said that 35-year-old Matthew P. McGill was charged Monday morning with terroristic threatening and impersonating a police officer.
McGill owns Hawaii Surety Agency LLC, which does business as Aloha Bail Bonds LLC.
Bail was set at $1,500. The spokeswoman said that McGill remained in custody as of late Monday afternoon.
Police said McGill threatened a 24-year-old man and a 27-year-old man at the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk hotel.
