Clara Loyola, 76, died Feb. 8 at her home in Kalaoa. Born in Paia, Maui, she retired from Hawaiian Telephone Company as a service representative. Private services were held. Survived by husband William Loyola of Kalaoa; sons Eric (Garilyn) Loyola of Keauhou, Neil (Hannah) Loyola of Kalaoa; daughter Nicole (Jerome) Marks of Kailua-Kona; sisters Beatrice Kim of Los Angeles, Esther Smith of Denver; nine grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Maxine L. Macauley, 94, died Dec. 28 at a Kona residential care home. Born in Los Angeles, she was a homemaker, member of Native Daughters of the Golden West and Las Quince Damas in Hermosa Beach, Calif., and former employee of Tickle Pie and Sky’s Hallmark. Private services will be held at a later date. Survived by daughter Carla Gline of Waikoloa; daughter-in-law Kathy Macauley of Pasadena, Calif.; nephew John (Joan) Parazette of Kailua-Kona; grandchildren Jenna Gline, Stephanie (James) Long, Christopher Gline, Kari (Paul) Stewart, Jason Macauley, Adrian (JJ) Macauley, David (Lindsay) Macauley, and five great-grandchildren.
