RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Christian Standhardinger scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Hawaii never trailed in an 87-76 victory over UC Riverside on Thursday night.

A 3 by Brandon Spearman with just more than 5 minutes left in the half gave the Rainbow Warriors a 35-22 advantage before UC Riverside went into the break on an 8-1 run, trimming its deficit to 36-30.
Patton scored five straight points early in the second half to make it a three-point game but the Highlanders (8-16, 3-7) would get no closer.
