Milton “Buzz” Chester Prout, Jr., 70, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 4 at home. Born in Lincoln, Neb., he was an insurance sales agent. Saramae Williams Landers, 107, of Pahoa died Monday at home. Born in Samaria, Idaho, she was a retired guidance counselor for the Renton, Wash. school district. She was a member of the Retired Hawaii State Teachers Association, Big Island United Nations Association, Pahoa Senior Citizens and Pahoa Community Medical Association. She was previously honored by Gov. Neil Abercrombie, Mayor Billy Kenoi and the state Senate and House. Services to be held in Boise, Idaho. Gary Dale Autry, 59, Kailua-Kona, died Tuesday at his home. Born in San Angelo, Texas, he was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He was also an antique salesman and a jewelry designer and spoke about drug and alcohol recovery to raise awareness at treatment centers, schools, state programs, institutions and local events. Friends may call at 9 a.m. Tuesday at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona for a gravesite service.
