A 33-year-old Hilo man was indicted by a grand jury for noncompliance with sex offender registry requirements.
The three-count indictment charges Jacob Hall with not reporting a residence change, not mailing his verification of information form to the attorney general within 10 days of receipt and failing to report in person to police as directed.
A bench warrant accompanying the indictment sets Hall’s bail at $15,000 and orders him to stay at least 100 yards from Lanakila Housing.
Failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements is a Class C felony punishable by up to five years imprisonment.
The state’s sex offender registry lists Hall, who was convicted in 2007 of two counts of third-degree sex assault, as noncompliant.
