Roy “Pops” Papanuumealani Jensen Sr., 87, of Waimea died Feb. 16 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, he was retired from the fuel department at the former U.S. Naval Air Station Barber’s Point on Oahu, a U.S. Army veteran and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Waioha Trio, Alu Like, Ke Ola Pono No Na Kupuna, Waimea Hawaiian Civic Club, Ka Ulu O Lauhala, National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARF), and Hale O Na Alii.
