A planetary scientist will speak about “unlocking the mysteries of Mars” today during an event at the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
Jim Bell, of Arizona State University, will speak at 7 p.m. in Room 108 at the Science and Technology Building.
Bell is the lead scientist in charge of the panoramic camera color, stereoscopic imaging system on the Spirit and Opportunity rovers, and is the deputy PI of the Mastcam camera system on the Curiosity rover, according to a press release from the Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Systems.
