Norma Pascua Cuevas, 66, of Honokaa died Feb. 23 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines; she was a retired certified nurse aide for Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua in Honokaa, housekeeper at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation 5-9 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Mass at 7 p.m. Casual attire. Interment at a later date in the Philippines. Survived by daughter Nori (Apolonio) Acidera of Honokaa; sons Aldrin (Suerie) Suguitan, Roderick (Mitsue) Suguitan and Jeffrey Cuevas of Philippines, Norman (Dona) Suguitan of Hawaii; sisters Estelita Aceret and Emelita Loo of Philippines, Gemma Gamiop of California; brothers Edmund Pascua of California and Elmar Pascua of Philippines; seven grandchildren; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Myra Kazuko Okubo, 82, of Hilo died Feb. 26 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Nagoya, Japan, she was a retired cafeteria worker for the state Department of Education and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin. Private services. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by daughter Cyd (Brian) Shiroma of Hilo; sisters-in-law Sadako Mizuno of Nagoya, Japan, Aiko Nakamura of Honolulu, Reiko Ito of Hilo and Betty Okubo of Los Angeles; two grandsons, Quinn Shiroma and Brant Shiroma of Hilo; nieces and nephews. Kathleen “Kea” Margaret Roach, 53, of Ahualoa, Honokaa died Jan. 20 at home. Born in Minneapolis, she was a midwife and doula and member of Santo Daime Church. Services held. Survived by daughter Aleah Ruane Butterworth (Gustav) Schoengut of Oak Grove, Ky.; son Max Nalu Hart of Hilo; father, Edward J. Roach of Naples, Fla.; sisters Mary E. Roach of Sacramento, Calif., and Susan M. (Roger Hahn) Roach of Ruffin, S.C.; brothers Michael J. (Luanne Hipp) Roach of Hopkins, Minn., and Stephen V.
