Seychelle Francis scored four goals and Lizzy Jim added a hat trick Wednesday as Ka Makani beat Hilo 15-4 at Naeole Pool in Keaau. Earlier, Katelynn Kubo, Acacia Trusdell, Chloe Martins-Keliihoomalu and Halia Nahale-a each recorded hat tricks in the Warriors’ 18-6 victory against Waiakea.

The BIIF season was to have started last Saturday, but five games at Kona Community Aquatic Center were scrapped because of a mechanical malfunction.

HPA, last season’s BIIF runner-up, also got two goals apiece by Leilelani Bostock, Louisa Duggan and Sarah Im. Brittani Boora and Hannah Twigg-Smith each scored once.

Alana Flaherty, Hilda Friday, Kaylyn Ells-Ho’okano and Lokelani Ferreira found the back of the net for the Vikings.

Four-time defending champion Kamehameha received contributions from Cassidy Fratinardo (two goals), Pua Wong (two), Kelly Fitzgerald (one) and Kaitlyn Silva (one). Katrina Ombac and Kasey Kawakami led Waiakea with two goals each, and Mary Economy and Coco Flores-Oishi each had a goal.
