Oregon Tech’s Brandon Bautista was recently named to the All-Cascade Collegiate Conference basketball first team for his outstanding season.
Bautista, a former Kohala High standout, averaged 10.1 points and 5 assists per game for the Hustlin’ Owls. His assist-to-turnover ratio ranked 5th in the NAIA and he finished with 164 assists, which ranked 12th nationally. Also in a first for an OIT basketball player, the 5-foot-8 Bautista, a junior, was voted the team’s MVP, most inspirational player, and best defensive player for coach Dan Miles’ squad.
