Dawson Terry Garvida, 66, died March 1 in Honolulu. Born on Honolulu, he was a landscaper with Hualalai Resort and the former Kona Lagoon and Keauhou Beach hotels and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint, Kona Ward and a U.S. Army veteran. Friends may call at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kailua-Kona Stake Center for a 10:30 a.m. funeral service. Burial will follow in the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
