Here’s Saturday’s rundown in the pool in Waimea:
Kamehameha 17, Hawaii Prep 6: Halia Nahale-a’s five goals powered the four-time defending BIIF champion Warriors (3-0).
In a rematch of last season’s league final, Cassidy Fratinardo tacked on four goals, and Katelynn Kubo and Pua Wong produced hat tricks. Acacia Trusdell and Chloe Martins-Keliihoomalu also scored for Kamehameha, which led 15-2 at halftime.
Louisa Duggan had a hat trick for HPA (2-1), Hannah Twigg-Smith scored twice and Seychelle Francis had a goal.
Kamehameha 15, Kealakehe 6: Seeking their fifth consecutive unbeaten BIIF season, the Warriors rode Cassidy Fratinardo’s five goals — giving her nine on the day — as well as hat tricks by Katelynn Kubo and Halia Nahale-a. Acacia Trusdell and Pua Wong each found the back of the net twice.
Anna Thomas scored three times in the fourth quarter for the Waveriders, which also got contributions from Mehana Pilago (two goals) and Naomi Tomlinson (one).
Kealakehe 20, Konawaena 8: Mehana Pilago reeled off 12 goals as the Waveriders (1-1) cruised past their crosstown rivals.
Pilago, a 2-meter player, didn’t even play in the fourth quarter, when Naomi Tomlinson netted two of her three goals for Kealakehe. Aimee Caldwell and Marissa Bryant-Manago scored twice, and Sarah Somsanguansit added a goal.
Mikala Fernandez led the Wildcats (1-1) with three goals, and Kaulana Ruedy found the back of the net twice. Konawaena also got goals from Brianna Shero, Aaliyah Butler and Chloe Delaney.
Konawaena 15, Hilo 5: Bailey Walters led the way with four goals, Mikala Fernandez compiled her second three-goal game and Kaulana Ruedy also recorded a hat trick as the Wildcats matched their win total from last season.
Chloe Delaney, Reiko Ikeno, Calle Pettijohn, Brianna Shero and Aaliyah Butler each tacked on a goal for the Wildcats.
Hayden Rooke and Kaylyn Ellis-Ho’okano each scored twice for the Vikings (0-3), which also got a goal from Hailey Rosario.
Waiakea 14, Hilo 4: The Warriors earned their first win of the season behind Kirstie Flores-Oishi’s four goals and the first of Grace Kalili’s two hat tricks on the day.
Jhante Iga and Kasey Kawakami came through with two goals each for Waiakea, while Mary Economy, Katrina Ombac and Taislynn Tai Ida scored one each.
Alana Flaherty and Jennifer Gervais each scored twice for the Vikings.
Hawaii Prep 20, Waiakea 8: Seychelle Francis tallied eight goals as Ka Makani rebounded in the last match of the afternoon.
Sarah Im posted four goals for HPA, Lizzy Jim added three, Hannah Twigg-Smith and Louisa Duggan each had two and Leilani Bostock had one.
Grace Kalili led the Warriors (1-2) with three goals and Mary Economy recorded two. Kasey Kawakami, Kirstie Flores-Oishi and Haru Harbour had a goal apiece.
