Tournament

The Haili Volleyball Tournament starts Monday with an all-Hawaii field, including 83 teams from the Big Island.

Junior games start at 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium (two courts), UHH Gym (two courts), Waiakea High and Hilo Armory. Play begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday, with championship play starting at 3 p.m.

On Thursday, 61 adult teams start play and the championships are set for Saturday at Hilo Civic.

The 2014 Hilo Slow-Pitch Softball League is accepting team registration.

The deadline to sign up is April 11 for a league slated to start April 28.

Super Sunday

Slam in Waimea

The University of Hawaii at Hilo will hold Super Sunday Slam, consisting of baseball and softball clinics, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20 at Waimea Park.

Registration is $20 (includes lunch, T-shirt, photo) and the deadline to enter to receive a shirt is April 11. Sign-ups will be taken April 20.

Hilo Little League registration continues through March 31 for players ages 12-18 in junior, senior and big league divisions.
