All members of the community who have benefited from the legacy of Bernice Pauahi Bishop are invited to attend the second annual Walk for Pauahi from 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday at the Kamehameha Schools-Hawaii stadium. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
The event is presented by the school’s National Honor Society chapter and coordinated by senior Khalia Moke-Sakamoto as her legacy project for the year.
“This event is my senior project for our Native Hawaiian community with its vision of promoting the importance of education to our upcoming generations and their families in a fun and healthy environment,” said Moke-Sakamoto. “All the proceeds from this event will benefit the Ke Ali‘i Pauahi Foundation, who generously gives to educate our Native Hawaiians.”
