It’s Merrie Monarch Festival time, and the Hilo Shopping Center will again host its local-style fair Wednesday through Friday, April 23-25, during Merrie Monarch week.
The fair will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, April 25.
“We will have local crafters both inside the air-conditioned mall and outside on the covered sidewalk,” said fair coordinator Marcia Prose.
“Our annual craft fair celebrating Merrie Monarch is again presented with a kamaaina theme. All our vendors are local, your neighbors and friends. Craft fair shopping with us is like visiting your family where you’ll find your favorite aunties and tutus.”
Offered for sale will be many sewn items such as kitchen towels, aprons, futons, bags, baby items and lots more. Unique photography, handmade soaps and lotions, jewelry, clothing and plenty of great gift ideas will be available inside the mall and outside along the sidewalk.
The public is invited and there is no admission fee to the fair.
