Cultural advisors for the documentary are Kekuhi Keali‘ikanaka‘oleohaililani, a kumu hula, dancer, singer, author and granddaughter of the late Hawaiian icon Edith Kanaka‘ole, and Ehulani Stephany, kumu hula and kahuna, with Stephany’s Halau Hula Ka Makani Hali ‘Ala O Puna providing the hula segments.
The just released program, produced by Emmy-winning videographer Mick Kalber of Hilo, made its two-night debut Monday and Tuesday at the Palace Theater with more than 300 attending each evening.
