Residents and staff of the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo invite the public to visit as the facility celebrates National Nursing Home Week from May 11-17.
Fun activities including dress-up days, trivia, games and fun competitions are planned throughout the entire week.
The goal in long-term and post-acute skilled nursing care centers is always a “Person-Centered Team Care” in a harmonious, caring environment, said spokeswoman Donna Okinaka.
“This is living the aloha spirit.
“Please join us in celebrating National Nursing Home Week,” Okinaka said.
