A 45-foot sailboat ran aground late Sunday night near Old Kona Airport Park.
According to a written statement from Hawaii Fire Department, the vessel started taking on water about 100-200 feet offshore.
The sailboat reportedly struck a reef and the man and woman aboard jumped overboard and swam ashore.
No one was injured. The Coast Guard was notified.
