Pomaika‘i Iaea is one of nine student-workers statewide to be honored with a $2,500 scholarship at an employee scholarship awards luncheon. She works at McDonald’s of Puainako in Hilo and plans to attend the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
“McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii is proud of our hard-working employee scholars as they seek to pursue higher education,” said Linda Rosario, a McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii owner and operator. “Since 1995, McDonald’s has been committed to awarding scholarships to our student employees based on academic achievement, community involvement and on-the-job performance.”
