Rena Ursula Brincat, 93, of Kailua-Kona died May 15 at home. Born in Somerville, N.J., she was a retired aerospace industry executive secretary. Services at a later date. Irvin “Irv” Theodore Carlsen, 100, of Keaau died May 14 at home. Born in Susanville, Calif., he was a retired radio broadcaster, member of Seniors of Paradise Park and Seniors of Pahoa and honorary member of the Eagles. Services pending. Bettimae Wailani Johansen, 93, of Lahaina, Maui, and Ahualoa died May 17 at her Ahualoa home. Born in Lahaina, she was a retired Hawaiian quilter, lei maker and sushi demonstrator at the Marriott hotel in Kaanapali, Maui, and member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
