Blame game
Blame game
It angers me each time I hear conservatives blame the current administration for the backlog at veterans hospitals.
These were the same people who supported the previous administration, which falsely led us into the war that created those thousands of casualties in the first place.
Ironic, isn’t it?

Time for NOTA?
I don’t know about anybody else, but I’m tired of electing candidates who shouldn’t be in office just because they were the lesser of multiple evils.
Many in public service have to pass exams to compete for the job, so I think candidates for elected office should also be tested.
Having taken and passed the requirements for a TS/SCI (top secret/sensitive compartmented information) security clearance, the first clearance level where a candidate has to take a polygraph (lie detector, to the great unwashed) and a psychiatric exam, it could be determined whether or not public service is the candidate’s calling.
While it might not be perfect, it would be better than the crap-shoot under which we now currently suffer.
We should also consider the NOTA (none of the above) option for those times there isn’t anybody on the ballot you would vote for under any circumstance (see www.nota.org).
If there were four running for dog catcher, and you didn’t want to vote for any of them, then NOTA would be your choice.
