• Timmie Smith aced the par 3, 163-yard 13th hole on May 15 at the Hilo Municipal Golf Course.

He used a 6 iron while playing with the Poaha Paina Golf Club.

Mike Gleason, Charlie Coe, Danny Perio and Al Smith witnesessed Smith’s first hole-in-one.

• Dominic Estrada of Pahoa aced the par 3, 182-yard 10th hole May 18 at Volcano Golf & Country Club.

He used an 8 iron.

Witnessing Estrada’s firt ever hole-in-one were Damien Estrada, Fabran Estrada, Jamian Estrada, Leandro Gabriel, BJ Estrada and Sabrina Keen.

Aikane Tennis

set for Tuesday

Aikane Tennis will be held Tuesday at the Edith Kanakaole Multipurpose Stadium, from 7-10 p.m. Members are $2 and non-members $5.

Softball Tourney

slated in August

^

Teams are being sought for the “Battling for Cancer” 14-inch softball tournament scheduled Aug. 23-24 at Walter Victor Complex.

The tourney includes kupunas, men’s and women’s mixed teams. Entry fee is $200 per team.
