Brian Jae Clark, 60, of Ocean View died May 10 at the Kona Community Hospital. Born in North Chicago, he was an agricultural farmer, a barista at Starbucks in Kailua-Kona and an avid surfer. Private services will be held. James “Jim” Wilbur Falls, 81, of Waikoloa died April 13 at home. Born in Muncie, Ind., he retired as commander of Indiana State Police South Bend District 12, was a former traffic update broadcaster, an investigator with NIPSCO Security Services, a member of Pioneers of Indiana State Police, Indiana Troopers Alliance, American Legion Post 297 and Notre Dame Alumni Club, served as trustee for Epworth United Methodist Church and Waikoloa Community Church and was an Army veteran who served with the 622 MP Co., I-Corp-Military Police during the Korean War. Friends may call at noon June 13 at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at the Waikoloa King’s Grill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. William “Bill” Owen Stephens Jr., 80, died April 25 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born in Honolulu, he was a member of the U.S. Army 52nd Airborne Division, a retired glazier and member of Hawaii Glaziers Union Local 1889, a member of Hui Makai Motorcycle Club, Na Kupuna Golf Club and St. Michael’s Catholic Church and a volunteer for numerous youth athletic programs. Born in Kealakekua, she was the proprietress of Island Flower Shop, a retired coffee farmer and formerly employed by Orchids of Hawaii, Okamura Store, Ege Store and Shimizu Store, a Girl Scout leader, 4-H Club leader and member of the University Extension Club, Central Kona Union Church, Pukaana Congregational Church, Lanakila Congregational Church, Kona Kumamoto Kenjin Kai and Honaunau Kumiai.
