The U.S. Geological Survey said the magnitude 4.1 temblor struck at 4:42 p.m. Friday and was centered near Molokai and about 45 miles east of Honolulu.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there was no danger of a tsunami.
The USGS says it was widely felt across Molokai and Oahu.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser says there have been no reports of any damage.
