Have you ever wanted to tap into your subconscious visually? Wondered why you’re drawn to certain images? Or had an urge to mosaic memories, dreams or desires?
With the process known as SoulCollage, you can create a doorway of interpretation to your world of thoughts and feelings through picturesque collage cards.
Instructor/facilitator Valarie Matinjussi has given more than 70 SoulCollage workshops in Hawaii and Washington.
“The directions for completing a collage card are quite simple,” Mantinjussi explained. “Your hands move fragments of cut out magazine images fitting them together in a surprising new way and gluing them to a card.”
Now, you can join her for this fascinating inner journey at the Volcano Art Center from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
