Haeli Baldwin, a second-grader at Hilo Union School, won first place in the Grades 1-2 category of AlohaCare’s statewide keiki art contest.

After receiving and reviewing more than 3,600 entries, AlohaCare selected its winners, with Baldwin receiving top honors for a drawing that focused on eating healthy. The theme of this year’s contest for children in Grades K-6 was “I Keep Healthy By . . .”

AlohaCare has hosted its statewide children’s art contest for the past 12 years. The first-, second- and third-place winners from each grade level division received $100, $75 and $50 in cash, respectively.
