Man arrested for parole violation

Police have arrested 42-year-old Dale Daniel Arruda of Hilo, who was wanted for violating parole, and had been the subject of public bulletins.

Arruda was arrested without incident at about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at a Pepeekeo home.

He was charged with violating parole, resisting an order to stop and second-degree theft.

Arruda’s bail was set at $11,000. He is being detained at Hawaii Community Correctional Center pending his initial court appearance.
