Manuel “Manno” Palani Milliora, 62, of Makaha, Oahu, died June 8 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Nanakuli, Oahu, he was a heavy equipment operator and member of Operating Engineers Union Local No. 3. Celebration of life and scattering of ashes at noon, Saturday, July 19, at Makaha surfing beach on Oahu. Luncheon at 1:30 p.m. at Aunty Ruth’s home on Makaha Valley Road in Makaha. He is survived by wife, Lisa S. Milliora of Makuu; sons, Quincy (Shancheal) Zastrow and Lopaka (Anuhea) Milliora of Makaha; mother, Ruth De Rego Milliora of Makaha; sisters, Lauae (Henry) Villacruzes of Nanakuli, Ethel Gomes of Waianae, Ruthie (Bill) Montefalcon of Las Vegas and Jonalinn Silva of San Antonio; brothers, Steven Castro of Waipahu, Oahu, Henry “Sparky” (Donnette) Milliora-Silva of Ainaloa, Levi Stanley of Waikiki, Oahu, and Stephen (Violet) Castro of Waipahu; uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the former Mauna Kea Agribusiness and the former Hilo Coast Processing Co., a Hawaii Army National Guard veteran and member of Honomu Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
