The Hilo Colt All-Stars will hold a car wash from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at KTA Super Stores on Puainako Street.
Cars will be $5; trucks/vans/SUVs, $10.
Also that day from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Vierras Cinnamon Sweetbread will be sold for $8 at KTA Puainako.
The all-star team, ages 15-16, will play in the PONY baseball Colt West Regional, 23-31, in California.

— Friday: Walmart 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Big Island Delights Party Mix- $8/ 8 oz. bag original and Furikake mix; Papa’s Portuguese Sweet Bread, $7.50/loaf.

Benefit for Kona
Pony Lil’ Soljahs
A benefit concert to help Mustang 9’s State Champions Kona Lil’ Soljahs to participate in the World Series will take place on Friday, July 18 at Sansei Bar & Grill at Queens Marketplace from 9:30 to12 p.m.
Pre-Sale tickets are $10; $12 at the door. Tickets can be bought from any Lil’ Soljahs parent. Contact Grad at 895-7505, Analu at 854-1322 or Melissa at 640-5519.
Note: Donations are also being accepted to help the Kona Lil’ Soljahs make the trip to the Pony World Series, starting July 22 in Walnut, Calif.

Sunrise Athletics

“Sunrise Athletics 2nd Annual 5K and 1.5-mile Fun Run/Walk – Supported by BioAstin” will be held July 26 at Liliuokalani Gardens. The 5k will start at 7:30 a.m. and the 1.5-mile race at 8:15 a.m.
There will be post-race snacks, giveaway prizes, along with field day events, bouncing castle, and a rummage sale on-going throughout the event. There will also be awards for the top overall runners, age group, and other categories. The “Race to the Top” organization winner bringing in the most participant will be announced and be given the monetary award.
Applications may be picked up at Spencer’s Health and Fitness, Just Cruising Coffee, Starbuck – Puainako, and Big Island Running Company, Kona or Hilo. Deadline to register with shirt guaranteed is July 12, but late registration up until the day of the race is accepted with no extra cost and no shirt guaranteed.
