Born in Hilo, he was a retired highway inspector for the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Highways Division, a retired Hawaii Army National Guard Sergeant, and a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou, the Y.M.I., the Ancient Order of Foresters and the Portuguese Cultural Club. Visitation from 8-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
