Harold Tavares Ferreira, 83, of Hilo died July 10 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired highway inspector for the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Highways Division, a retired Hawaii Army National Guard Sergeant, and a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou, the Y.M.I., the Ancient Order of Foresters and the Portuguese Cultural Club. Visitation from 8-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Survived by, son, Mark (Laura) Ferreira of Pahoa; daughters, Haroldeen (Kai) Quintal of Kurtistown and Natalie (Thomas) Veriato of Mountain View; sisters, Lorreta Kim of Honolulu, and Lucille (John) Scarborough of Gulf Port, Mississippi; sisters-in-law, Shirley Ferreira of Hilo and Evelyn Ferreira of Honolulu; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one aunt; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Audrey Leola Lentz, 71, of Papaikou died July 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Edmonton, Canada, she was a former D.J. for various local radio stations known as “Leola James” and a former paralegal for various attorneys. Private services. Survived by husband, Henry Stilmack Jr. of Papaikou; daughters, Sandra Slobodan of Bonnyville, Canada, and Tracy (Kevin) Irwin of Sherwood Park, Canada; son, Terrill (John Seamone) Slobodan of Sherwood Park, Canada; sister, Linda (Michael) Barbeau of St. Albert, Canada; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Kelvin Homer Trewartha, 58, of Kailua-Kona died June 27 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kisumu, Kenya, he moved to Hawaii in 1977. No services to be held. No known survivors. Arrangements by Cremation Services of West Hawaii.
