Cheryl Beth Beshore, 69, of Kealakekua died July 17. Born in Wailuku, Maui, she was a homemaker and a Catholic. Services at a later date. Survived by husband, Gerold Beshore of Costa Rica; sons, Brady Beshore of San Diego, Joey Beshore of Cost Rica and Aron Beshore of Kealakekua; daughters, Naomi Sanders of Kealakekua and Anna Beshore of Hilo; sister, Chaudrau Weekly of Sacramento, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. Mary Callie Puaala Garmon, 48, of Waimea died June 16 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Oceanside, Calif., she was a Hawaiian studies teacher for Waimea and Parker Elementary schools and Waimea Middle School, and was involved in numerous community organizations and events, including Kamehameha School’s summer program at Waimea Elementary School, Honokaa Relay for Life, Honokaa High School Ensemble Alumni concert, Moku O Keawe International Hula Festival, Edith Kanakaokle Foundation and Clyde Kindy Sproat Falsetto Contest and Hawaii Island Festival. Visitation 9 a.m. Aug. 9 at Kahilu Town Hall in Waimea. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Luncheon and fellowship to follow. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Teruo Kitamura, 81, of Hilo died July 20 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired insurance salesman and owner of TMK Nursery. Private services. Elmer Louis LeBay, 92, of Milolii died July 19 at home. Born in Tiffin, Ohio, he was a retired professor at Kapiolani Community College in Honolulu and U.S. Army veteran. Private services. Teiji Sakanoi, 80, of Hilo died July 10 at home. Born in Olaa, he was a retired lead foreman pipefitter for the county Department of Water Supply and member of Higashi Hongwanji Buddhist Temple. Services held. No flowers. Survived by wife, Jane Y. Sakanoi of Hilo; sons, Russell H. Sakanoi and Aaron K. (Melba) Sakanoi of Hilo; daughters, Jessie S. The late Regina “Gina” Marie Callo Ebanies, is survived by, among others, daughter, Cheryl (John Salas Jr.) Ebanies of San Antonio and son, Shannon Ebanies of Hilo. Incorrect information appeared in an obituary published Tuesday.
