The Hilo All-Stars will play Los Mochis, Sinaloa of Mexico at 2 p.m. Hawaii time Monday in the PONY Baseball World Series (ages 13-14) in Washington, Pa. Hilo defeated Virginia 4-1 on Saturday in the Big Islanders’ opening game in the tournament.
On Sunday, Los Mochis, Sinaloa beat host Washington, Pa. 7-1 to advance in the winners’ bracket and set up its meeting against Hilo.
This is the second consecutive year that West Zone champion Hilo has competed in the PONY World Series.
