Kona fishing action on ABC
Kona-based Farish Media, in association with California-based Corday Productions, will air “Pacific Blue Marlin — Tag and Release Tournament (T.A.R.T)” at 8 p.m. Saturday, on KITV.
The tournament promotes conservation of the marlin species through the tag-and release-format while educating viewers about marlin biology, science and habits.

challenge at UHH
The University of Hawaii at Hilo boosters will host its second Aha Paiea Keiki Sports Challenge from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Aug. 30 at the school’s gym.
The camp is open to keiki ages 7-12 and is limited to the first 120 registrants.
According to a release, “Participants will get a unique opportunity to learn the fundamentals of basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball and tennis taught by coaches and players of UHH.”
The cost is $5 and each participant will receive lunch and a camp T-shirt.

HALOS Youth Services is offering a non-tackle youth football experience for boys and girls, with no weight restrictions to East Hawaii and North Hawaii families.
Registration is for the Junior Champions Division (grades 3 and 4) and Champions Division (grades 5 and 6).

The Department of Parks and Recreation will be offering an instructional volleyball season for boys and girls ages 5-8 years old.
The instructional season will include drills for beginners and also modified volleyball games.
