A 23-year-old Hilo man reported at 7 p.m. Saturday that while he was in a parked vehicle off Piopio Street, an acquaintance struck him in the arm with a metal object and threatened additional physical harm.
At 9:20 p.m., police arrested 31-year-old Joshua Resun of Hilo. He was charged at 12:45 p.m. Sunday with unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, third-degree assault and second-degree terroristic threatening. His bail was set at $3,000.
His initial court appearance was set for Tuesday.
