Hiromi “Skeeter” Tsutsumi, 92, of Hilo died Aug. 23 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Hilo, he was the retired vice-president and general manager at Parts Center Hawaii, member of the Hilo Interpreter’s Club, Fukuoka Kenjin Kai, Saturday Golf Club and a veteran of the Military Intelligence Service, U.S. Army during World War II. Private services held. In lieu of flowers and koden, donations may be made in memory of Hiromi Tsutsumi to Hospice of Hilo. Survived by sons, Mark (Carole) Tsutsumi of Honolulu and Jay (Lorna) Tsutsumi of Hilo; daughter, Cheryl (Brian) Kubo of Waimea; brothers, Atsushi Tsutsumi of Honolulu and Hardy (Carole) Tsutsumi of Hilo; sisters, Nora Tokie Abe of Honolulu, Yasue Matsui of Hilo, Ann Fusae (George) Kasashima of Honolulu and Geraldine Itsui (Roy) Hatada of Honolulu; six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Edwin Carlisle Baughman, 87, of Kailua-Kona, died Sept. 1. Born in Virginia, he was a retired Hawaiian Electric Co. electrical engineer. Private services held. Survived by brothers, Davis Baughman of Pennsylvania and Mickey Baughman of Florida; sisters, Betty Thompson and Nalda Merrill of Virginia; numerous nieces, grandnieces, nephews and grandnephews. Clyde Gouveia, 66,of Captain Cook, died Sept. 4 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in North Kona, he was a retired police officer with the county of Honolulu, a member of the American Legion and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Friends may call at 8 a.m. Sept. 27 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Kealakekua. Funeral service at 10 a.m. with burial at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona. Aloha attire. Flowers are welcome. Survived by wife, Janis Gouveia of Captain Cook; daughter, Roselynn (James) Rosado of Kapolei, Oahu; mother, Rose Gouveia of Captain Cook; brother, A. Mieko Muramaru, 82, of Kahului, Maui, and formerly from Hilo, died Sept. 10 at Hale Makua Kahului. Born in Hilo, she was a retired sales person. Edward “Ed” Pereira, 88, of Hilo, died Sept. 15 at Hilo Medical Center. Born n Hilo, he was proprietor of many apartments in Hilo, a Veteran in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II, and was a Civil Air Patrol captain. Visitation from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Dodo Mortuary chapel. Celebration of life at 10 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers. Burial at noon at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Survived by wife, Frances “Ruby” Iwalani G. Pereira of Hilo; daughters, Edie Kahula Pereira of California and Mari Frances K.
