The Hawaii Island Landscape Association and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Cooperative Extension Service will host the fifth annual Landscape Management Conference and Trade Show on Oct. 16 at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel.
This educational event provides practical management tools for professional landscape gardeners, arborists and tree workers, and is also open to property managers and the public.
In keeping with this year’s theme — Celebrating Hawaii Island Green Industry: Home Grown Wisdom — the program features an all-Big Islander lineup of speakers, including local experts from the nursery and landscape industry, as well as the University of Hawaii.
With two tracks of seminars, attendees can choose individual classes in tree care, turf and ornamental plant management. The trade show features the latest products and services offered to Big Island landscapers and home gardeners from local suppliers.
Cost for the conference is $90 for HILA members and $110 for non-members. Continental breakfast and lunch are included. For information and registration visit hilahawaii.com or contact Ty McDonald at tym@hawaii.edu or call 322-4884.
