Eighty-eight shooters from across the Big Island and Oahu competed July 12 at the Hawaii State 3-D Championship at Kapapala Ranch in Ka’u. The National Field Archery Association (NFAA) “unmarked” contest was hosted by the Hawaii Island Archery Club.
“We want to thank Kapapala Ranch for letting us use their beautiful ranch,” said spokesman Charlie Kawamoto. Prizes were donated by JSO Enterprises, S. Tokunaga Store, Sakata Archery Supplies, J&R Archery and Among Archery.
The next competition will be an indoor shoot, again sanctioned by the NFAA, Nov. 15-16 at the Waiakea Recreational Center in Hilo.
