Through its Transitional and Supportive Housing programs, Hawaii Island Home for Recovery Inc. is committed to providing housing for the homeless and individuals at-risk for homelessness in the community.

The residents in the housing programs will benefit from the courtyard’s wood fence being sealed and stained, thanks to the donations, contributions and the 100 hours of volunteer service work donated by the Akaka Falls Lions Club.

Agency officials expressed their appreciation to the club, project chairmen Benjamin Cockett and Nate Chang, the grant review committee and the Weinberg Foundation for the special support.
