The Coast Guard and Hawaii County Fire Department are searching for a 65-year-old man who fell overboard early Wednesday morning in waters near Pohoiki Bay.
The man was returning to the Pohoiki boat ramp when a swell apparently knocked him overboard at around 1 a.m., according to the Coast Guard.
Another man on the boat reported the incident.
The Coast Guard plans to continue the search for 2.5 days.
